Jessica Lange took home the Emmy for her creepily incredible performance in ‘American Horror Story: Coven,’ but will she return to the spooky series after ‘Freak Show?’

American Horror Story has become a cult favorite, and what would it be without Jessica Lange? The actress, 65, won for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie at the Primetime Emmys in Los Angeles on August 25, and caught up with her after the big moment. Read on for Jessica’s interview — she promises that Freak Show will be the best season yet (and hopefully not her last)!

Jessica Lange won the Emmy on August 25, her second win for American Horror Story, third Emmy overall and and third nomination for the miniseries.

The actress told she was “stunned” and did not expect to win, but if you watch AHS, you know why Jessica got award — she’s incredible. And lucky for us, the actress promises that next season will be even better than her award-worthy performances from past rounds.

“Well, I’m actually looking forward to this season,” Jessica told at the award show. “I think this season is going to be the most extraordinary that we’ve done. I think that what we’ve got – what’s working there, the potential is pretty extraordinary. And if it can all come together, and if we can keep on track, I think it’s going to be something really, really special.”

From the looks of the teaser trailers and recent casting news, we’d say Ryan Murphy‘s team will pull it together. I mean, how could circus chaos not be extraordinary?

“There’s a lot of chaos, but I find I work well in chaotic situations,” she admitted of her time on set with the eclectic cast. “There’s tremendous creative energy, always. I just feel very fortunate to have these people to work with.”

Jessica Lange: Will She Return To ‘AHS’ After ‘Freak Show’?
While Jessica promises the best season yet, will Freak Show be her last? When we told her we had heard that she’d be returning for potential seasons post circus-fest, she responded coyly: “Who told you that?”

Hopefully, she won’t be leaving anytime soon because her fans, for one, will be devastated. “One day I was walking down the street in New Orleans, and I passed this group of young men that were sitting on a stoop,” Jessica tells “And as I went by, I heard the guy say, ‘Holy sh*t balls. The Supreme!’ I thought that was the greatest thing ever.”

Congratulations to Jessica on her win!

The Emmy Awards are tonight, which means that the best of the best in the world of television from this past year will be honored. It’s a mixed bag of drama comedy and reality but the Emmys are what shows strive for and there are some huge names and shows up for awards tonight.

ust like the male side of things, the women of this year’s best television movies and miniseries were forced to fight it out in the same category and there were a few great names to consider for the award. Jessica Lange is no stranger to the Emmys, especially after her role on American Horror Story, but she had stiff competition. Kristen Wiig was a surprise nomination for her comedy role on The Spoils of Babylon but she was outstanding nonetheless in the role.

But there could only be one winner and the Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie ended up going to Jessica Lange for American Horror Story: Coven.

Jessica Lange will be honored with Santa Barbara Film Festival’s Kirk Douglas Award at a black-tie gala dinner on November 16.

According to the Hollywood reporter, the 65-year-old actress, who recently received an Emmy nomination for ‘American Horror Story: Coven,’ will be the 9th celeb after Kirk Douglas, Harrison Ford, Quentin Tarantino, John Travolta, Ed Harris, Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, and Forest Whitaker, to receive this honor.

Kirk Douglas said that Lange possesses the three key elements in making it in this crazy business: talent, beauty and intelligence, all of which have served her well and continue to do so and it is his honor to give her his award.

Fresh out of the American Horror Story panel Saturday night at Comic-Con comes the official cast for the fourth season of FX’s anthology series. Here’s who’s joining the Freak Show:

Kathy Bates and Evan Peters will be playing Ethel and Jimmy Darling. Joining them will be Angela Bassett’s Desiree Dupree, Michael Chiklis as Dell Toledo, Sarah Paulson in the dual role of conjoined twins Bette and Dot Tattler, and Emma Roberts as Maggie (no last name as of yet). Finally, series staple Jessica Lange will be playing a character is named Elsa Mars. Chiklis is playing Bates’ husband…and Bassett’s ex-husband.

In other exciting news, one of this year’s core villains will be played by John Carroll Lynch, the great everyguy-psychopath character actor. One of Lynch’s best-known performances came as the possible serial killer Arthur Leigh Allen in Zodiac; appropriately, executive producer Tim Minear described the tone of Freak Show as “Douglas Sirk meets Zodiac.” Everyone go watch Written on the Wind, immediately!

Jessica Lange and Sarah Jessica Parker will star opposite Shirley Maclaine and Alan Arkin in the road-trip comedy “Wild Oats,” sources said.

The Exchange will be selling “Wild Oats” at Cannes.

Producers are Blythe Frank of Wild Pictures and Kip Konwiser of the Konwiser Brothers. Stealth Media Group is exec producing.

The project has been in development for several years with The Weinstein Co. acquiring U.S. distribution rights in 2012. At that point, Jacki Weaver was attached along with MacLaine.

Andy Tennant, whose credits include “Hitch” and “Sweet Home Alabama,” is directing from a script by Claudia Myers and Gary Kanew.

Maclaine portrays a widow and retired history teacher who receives a life insurance check accidentally made out for $5 million instead of the expected $50,000. Her best friend, portrayed by Lange, urges her to deposit the money and escape their small town life to the Canary Islands.
